![]() I have been playing small... I have been dimming my light... I have not been being completely, authentically Lisa. I’ve been hiding parts of me to fit in and be accepted. This realization came to me last Friday as my friend Zhanna and I were leaving an EPIC training with Gabby Bernstein, when another lady (who took the course with us) asked what I did for a living. I answered “I’m an Intuitive Mentor.” My friend Zhanna cuts in and says “no, she’s just playing small." The other lady looks at me questioningly..I decide it's safe to tell her that I'm a Psychic Medium. … Let me tell you guys that my friend saying I was playing small was huge epiphany for me…...I WAS playing small. I was hiding who I really am because I have been made fun of for my abilities, even by people who are very close to me... and I wanted to fit in and be accepted. What I realized that by playing small I have done the world a disservice by ultimately denying people help and the opportunity to heal; which is often what happens during a session. Have you ever felt like you are too much of something or not enough? Have you dimmed your light to fit in? Maybe you have thought you are:
That is false crap babe...you are never too much or not enough... In truth, we are exactly as we are meant to be with the exact attributes we are meant to have. It ESSENTIAL for us to own that. So, how can we change these false perceptions? Try out this affirmation: I fully and completely love and accept myself If you really want to effect lasting change, do this for 40 days as it reprograms your brain at a subconscious level. You could even take it one step further and look in the mirror as you do it! By us not fully owning our magnificence and all it means to be who we are, we are doing the world a huge disservice. Our unique talents, abilities and skills are our GIFTS that are bestowed upon us in this lifetime. We were blessed with them. We are meant to have them and they are needed in this world. They are part of our purpose. I’ve had some of my mentoring clients try to reason with “yes but a lot of other people have the same skill or ability or talent as I do.” When I asked guidance about this I heard “it doesn’t matter that others have the same skill, no one else is like you and no one else can do that particular thing the way you can.” We need to accept our gifts and use them so we can do what we came here to do people! The flip side of that is when we do use our natural talents, skills and abilities it can help us to feel fulfilled. Let’s commit to stepping into the full expression of who we really are. That begins by: Embracing all of what it means to be you. Accepting all of who you are….Unapologetically... and ... Shining as effing bright as you can baby. Be YOU. Want to learn more?
